Co-founder of Harbor Light Entertainment, a motion picture development and production company. Negotiated and secured the rights to remake Akira Kurosawa's classic, Rashomon. Executive Producer of Rashomon, now in development with Paramount Pictures staring Morgan Freeman. Executive producer of HDTV documentaries and programs. Consultant of NHK concerning United States DTV implementation and progress. International consultant pertaining to HDTV program production and Japanese television program development.  NHK Television Network Tokyo, Japan 1992 - 1997 Executive Producer and Director of International Programs with the Special Program Division of the Japan Broadcasting Corporation. Only foreign national ever to be employed in a senior staff position by NHK. (Originally hired as Program Director / Coordinator of International Programs; promoted within one year to above position.) Responsible for the development and production of programs for broadcast in High Definition Television (HDTV) and NTSC on NHK terrestrial, satellite & high-definition networks. Produced and directed national and regional commercial spots. Won several awards for commercial production. Advanced technical proficiency in video effects and editing. Responsibilities included entertaining and maintaining relations with production clients as well as supervision of production crews. WDCA-TV Washington DC, USA May 1973 - Nov 1976 Began as Production Technician, promoted to Associate Director and then to Director. Gained substantial hands-on experience in all technical areas of production: excelled as photographer; nominated for Emmys in camera operation and videotape editing; proficient as video switcher, audio mixer / editor and lighting director.
